She shows how stitches may be used to create, among other things, borders, motifs, trimmings for clothes and exciting wall panels and hangings. As well as her concern with modern design, this traditional embroidery technique is placed into its historical context through the use of many photographs.

Moyra McNeill is a lecturer at evening classes and has taught at many short courses within the British Isles. She has exhibited in this country and abroad.
